The building permit does not automatically resolve the civil and public-infrastructure scope. Excavation, drainage, utilities, access, frontage, and right-of-way work can require related Public Works or Land Surface Modification permits.

- Cut, fill, export, retaining walls, and temporary erosion control.
- Stormwater facilities and discharge.
- Water and sewer service or meter work.
- Driveways, sidewalks, curb, gutter, planter strips, and street trees.
- Right-of-way dedication, easements, and temporary occupation.
Use one coordinated base plan
Architecture, civil, landscape, arborist, utility, and erosion-control documents should use the same survey, grades, trees, access, and utility assumptions.
Expect legal and closeout documents
Public Works activity can include sewer certification, maintenance agreements, improvement evaluations, securities, record drawings, and as-builts. Track these separately from plan approvals.
