What MyBuildingPermit is for
MyBuildingPermit is the official online portal used by Bellevue and Kirkland for development-service applications, customer accounts, permit status information, inspection scheduling, payments, and permitting resources. Official applications, fees, documents, inspection requests, and city decisions belong there.
Build Eastside does not submit applications, accept payments, schedule inspections, or replace a city record.
How to search for a permit without an account
- Open the official public permit search.
- Select Bellevue or Kirkland as the jurisdiction.
- Search with the full permit number when you have it. Bellevue numbers may look like 26 112325 BS; Kirkland numbers may look like BSF26-05701.
- Open the matching record and confirm the address, project description, overall status, dates, reviews, fees, people, and inspections.
- Read the newest activity for every department instead of relying only on the overall status.
What the common statuses usually mean
- Applied or Pending: the application is in the system, but the detailed review rows determine what is actually happening.
- In Review or Under Review: one or more city departments are working on the current review round.
- Revision Requested or Corrections Needed: the applicant, architect, contractor, or consultant team generally owes a response.
- Ready to Issue: reviews are substantially complete, but fees, contractor information, documents, or another issuance item may remain.
- Issued: the permit has been issued. Required inspections and conditions still apply.
- Finaled: the jurisdiction has recorded final permit approval after required closeout.
Labels and next steps vary by permit type and jurisdiction. Confirm important decisions in the official record or with city staff.
