Ready to Issue means the plan-review path is substantially complete, but the permit is not yet issued. The public record can still show unpaid fees, missing contractor details, or prerequisites that must be cleared.

Review every Fee Remaining amount. Building, fire, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, Public Works, impact, and MyBuildingPermit charges can appear as separate lines.
Check the People section
Confirm the required contractor is listed with a valid license number. Kirkland staff verify professional and contractor licensing before issuance.
Review holds and legal documents
Some projects require tree notices, maintenance agreements, sewer certification, securities, or other recorded documents. Passed activity rows help show which prerequisites are complete.
Wait for Issued
Ready to Issue is not permission to start work. Confirm the official status changes to Issued and obtain the approved plan set.
